nils apiece is an explorable environment and investigation into the non-place/junkspace phenomena of mall architecture, out-of-town retail parks, and the plethora of tarmac, fencing, and HVAC systems that accompany them.

The projects aim was to tease out the curatorial potential of these landscapes, envisioning them as large and distributed exhibition zones into which artists would be invited to stage their work and respond to the space. 

A prototype was produced before the project morphed into a jumping off point for Seventy Five Threads, a digital work produced for north east arts organisation No More Nowt. Though on hiatus, I see nils apiece as a long-form experiment that I will periodically slip in and out of.
