Andrew John Wood

Wood’s practice spans disparate media, shifting from physical to file, performance to film. He produces drawings, text, and moving image that draw from collaged observation and autobiography. Presently he is fascinated by the many phantom plans and unbuilt proposals that haunt his home town in the North of England. Wood’s work has screened at Onion City Experimental Film + Video Festival (Chicago, IL), Antimatter [Media Art] (Victoria, Canada), Light Matter Film Festival (Alfred, NY) and has been exhibited at SPAM New Media Festival (Seattle, WA). Wood holds an MFA from Ohio State University, and is Assistant Professor of Art at Wilmington College, OH.
